I’m that crazy Mom that keeps track of all our children’s flights and to date, Noah has been on 96 flights already, and Kaia on 45 (most of which have been long haul international flights). Although it’s definitely more the norm to ‘slow down’ with traveling once you have children (sane/clever parents do that!), we seem to have done the opposite after becoming parents.
Kandui Resort, located in the beautiful Mentawais Islands off West Sumatra in Indonesia, is every surfer’s dream. One of the most remote places I’ve ever been to and, also one of the most beautiful. We have been dreaming about coming here for many years and we not only finally made it happen, but made it happen with 10 of our closest friends.
Six months is definitely not enough time to properly get to know a city like Berlin. You’d needs years for that, but six months is enough time to at least gather a collection of favourite cafes, restaurants, bakeries, ice cream parlours, etc., which I would love to pass on to you.
Six of us jetted down to Cabo for 4 days, 3 nights and stayed in a beautiful villa on the ocean, close to San Jose del Cabo. It was my first lengthy time away from Noah (previously I'd only been away for a night) so I was a bit of an emotional mess the night before leaving but I'm sure my current, healthy levels of hormones added to that. I knew I'd be able to disconnect once I was away and what a treat it was.
Think heat, think design, think beautiful people, and architecture. Think desert, think swimming pools, think palm trees and stunning mountain backdrops. Palm Springs is unlike anywhere I’ve been. Its quirky, its cool and it is fun. An awesome spot for a little weekend away so its no surprise that its one of the top picked getaways for people living in LA.

We did a total of 28 flights and 5 continents in Noah’s first 12 months! Some may think we are absolutely crazy, and maybe we are, but I wouldn’t have done it any other way. Needless to say, I feel that I’ve picked up a few tips and tricks along the way which I’m excited to share with you.
